This is an archaeological site among the finest and most impressive in Asia. Over 2,000 pagodas spread on the bank of the Irrawaddy River, built between the ninth and thirteenth century, and spread in an arid plain landscape over almost 40km2. The sunrise observed perching on one of the 2,000 pagodas is a bewildering time. Bagan is also famous for its lacquer workshops.
Bagan is of great interest, whether you choose to enjoy the comfort of a car to move amongst the thousands of temples or to take your time to explore a quieter drawn carriage or bicycle. Do not forget to go to the terrace of a temple privileged to enjoy an incredible sunset over the plain of Bagan.
Discover Bagan from the air is a unique experience! The entire plain of Bagan offer you chance to hover. You will observe the sun on the Irrawaddy River and various stupas in the region.
It is one of the major tourist attractions of the country but also a place not to miss in Asia for its incredible landscape, as well as the temples of Angkor.
