As the country is still very little visited by foreign tourists, the stunning beaches of this country are particularly well preserved. These are corners of paradise made of white sand and turquoise water with rice palms and other lush vegetation. And they are almost deserted, especially during the months from June to September. During the period running from March to May, the Burmese have become used to these beautiful places for their holidays. Famous beaches are Ngapali, Ngwe Saung (Silver Beach), and Chaung Tha.
Ngapali Beach
Ngapali Beach is west of Burma along the Indian Ocean. It is only seven kilometers from the town of Thandwe. Some people regard it as the most beautiful in Southeast Asia range. It is a beautiful place with clear and transparent blue water as a postcard landscape. This range is distinguished from other paradisiacal beaches of Southeast Asia by the few tourists it receives. Indeed, this is still a very wild place; the beach is opened to tourism very recently, in the 90s. You will therefore have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful beaches of fine sand almost deserted, a true paradise! However, it has every comfort as some resorts were built not far from the beach. There is also a golf course.
Ngwe Saung Beach
Come discover this beautiful white sand beach that extends for about 15 kilometers, bordered turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean and a dense rainforest allowing a truly idyllic setting. It is a place to both natural and beautiful. However there is very little choice in the evening activities, much less than in the nearby beaches as Chaungtha and Ngapali. This is a wild place for lovers of peace and nature and you will feel like on a desert island!
Chaungtha Beach
Chaungtha is a small beach which is still underdeveloped and therefore retains its natural charm. It is the ideal place to relax after an intense journey in Burma. The beach is also composed of small delectable restaurants. The shops sell lovely shells and dried fish that will make some very nice memories. You can also visit the mysterious mangrove which is very close to the beach. It is a perfect place to relax.
