Myanmar weather in January
January is the middle of the dry season and the weather is great. There is low humidity, no rain, and pleasant temperatures. Areas in the north, particularly in the Shan State can be chilly in the morning but during the day the temperature averages 26°C (79°F). The chill in the foothills will warm as the month goes on. The Central Plains are dry and can get hot. The southern regions, especially the beaches along the west coast are in full sun.
The pleasant temperatures of January make it a great time to visit. That being said, many people do so sites will be crowded and the beaches especially will be popular. But with the lovely weather, the other visitors shouldn’t put a damper on your travels.
