Day 2: Hanoi / Vespa Tour – Moon Garden

A privileged excursion, on the back of a Vespa, now a folkloric mode of transportation in Vietnam, led by a charming local guide dressed in Ao Dai, an elegant traditional garment. During this circuit allowing you to appreciate the beauty of Hanoi in the Vietnamese way, our team of riders will combine for you visits to the city's highlights, combined with authentic scenes of daily life, whether in affluent or more modest environments.

In the afternoon, you will head to the small village of Ky Son (50km-1h20), a typical village located 50km west of Hanoi. Upon arrival, check-in at the "Moon Garden" guesthouse. A local drink will be offered as a welcome gesture. Free time to explore the guesthouse and the village of Ky Son.

While waiting for a scented water shower, you can drink and taste local products such as sweet potatoes or corn, peanuts, and cassava... offered by the owner of the house depending on the season.

Day 3: Moon Garden – 2nd night

Continue your morning with a relaxing walk to Ky Son village and its surroundings, interacting with the local population to discover the daily life of the countryside and observe agricultural techniques.

You can visit bee farms and even participate, if you wish, in various agricultural tasks such as plowing, transplanting, sowing, harvesting rice, corn, or sweet potatoes depending on the season.

You can also visit the kindergarten (Closed on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays) and stroll through the village market before returning to your hotel for lunch.

Day 4: Moon Garden – Sapa / Topas Ecolodge

In the afternoon, enjoy a pleasant two-hour walk along the dirt trails surrounding the lodge, through terraced rice fields and local crop plantations. Along the way, you may encounter farmers from ethnic minorities working in the fields.

Day 5: Sapa - Topas Ecolodge

In the morning, depart for a visit to neighboring villages such as Den and Lech, strongholds of the Red Dao ethnic group. You can visit a village school upon arrival and meet joyful and welcoming children.

Return to the lodge and have lunch on your own.

In the afternoon, depart by car to the village of Y Link Ho, inhabited by the Black H'mong people, the starting point for a 2 to 3-hour hike through beautiful landscapes. Along a small path, you will descend into the Muong Hoa Valley. You will then cross a beautiful river and a suspension bridge to reach the small H'mong hamlets, where you will have the chance to enjoy breathtaking panoramas overlooking the rice fields and the Muong Hoa River. Your walk amidst terraced rice fields will eventually lead you to the village of Lao Chai.

Meet with the driver and return to Topas Ecolodge.

Day 7: P’apiu & surroundings

In the morning, meet with the guide and driver at the hotel, then depart for a visit to the village of Ha Thanh, home of the Tay ethnic group. Upon arrival, take a walk through the village to meet its inhabitants and discover the beautiful wooden stilt houses. A family will welcome you for lunch, during which you will have the opportunity to explore the interior of these typical houses.

In the afternoon, return to the hotel, then take a self-guided tour of the 1.7 km brocade road. An artistic work completed in 2020, featuring brocade motifs, silk fabrics enhanced with gold and silver threads, painted directly on the ground.

Behind this construction project lies a program aimed at helping young people in the region find employment during the epidemic, driven by hotel staff to promote local tourism. To build this path, dozens of workers and artists had to work thousands of hours and use thousands of liters of paint.

Day 9: Hanoi – Halong by seaplane

Cruising on Halong Bay is undoubtedly the highlight of all trips to Vietnam.

Constantly reinventing themselves, tour organizers in the region have recently come up with a brand new way to enjoy the karst landscapes of this natural gem, a UNESCO World Heritage site, by flying over the bay by helicopter.

Tourists are transported in a 5-seater Bell 505 helicopter, made in the United States, equipped with large windows offering breathtaking views of Halong Bay.

Visitors will appreciate the stunning views of Thien Cung Cave, Hon Ga Choi Island, Titop Island, Bai Tu Long Bay, Reu Island, and Tuan Chau Island.

Upon arrival at Tuan Chau airport, embark on the President boat.

A cruise aboard the President is simply fabulous. Day 10: Halong – Hanoi – Fly to Dong Hoi – Phong Nha

Start your day with a Tai Chi session. Then have a light breakfast with coffee, tea, and freshly baked pastries in the restaurant.

Then visit Titov Island. Take a swim at the beach or climb to the top of the island for a panoramic view of Halong Bay.

A full buffet breakfast is served at the restaurant.

Then, your butler will assist you in settling your bills and making sure everything is in order. Disembark at Tuan Chau Marina and return to Hanoi by helicopter, then fly to Dong Hoi.

Upon arrival in Dong Hoi, you will be welcomed by our driver and transferred to Phong Nha Lake House Eco resort in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. The architectural inspiration of the Lake House Project is of pure Vietnamese tradition.

Day 11: Phong Nha Cave – Thien Duong Cave

A day of discovery in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, in a region with karst terrain over 400 million years old... Located north of the Truong Son mountain range, the park is home to a magnificent system of caves and underground galleries, archaeological and historical sites, all bordered by a primary tropical forest teeming with life.

First, a boat excursion on the underground river, one of the longest in the world! Then visit the splendid Phong Nha caves, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, followed by an ascent of a mountain giving access to Tien Son Cave. This beautiful dry cave in the park is characterized by reproducing a sound similar to that of gongs and drums when its rock is struck.

The afternoon is dedicated to exploring Thien Duong Cave ("Paradise" in Vietnamese), one of the most beautiful in Ke Bang Park, located about twenty kilometers west of Phong Nha caves. Much more picturesque than the latter thanks to its fascinating rock formations, Thien Duong is also the longest dry cavity in Asia.

Continue by descending into the "paradise" of Thien Duong, with a guided walk along a wooden bridge. The impressive stalactites and stalagmites in various shapes evoke all kinds of objects and living beings.

Then, kayak through an underground river, followed by a walk through a huge cavity, four kilometers long.

The trail, the watercourse, the stalactites, and stalagmites create a truly unique environment.

Finally, you arrive under skylights to take a break, rest, and take some photos.

Return in the late afternoon and back to Phong Nha Lake House Hotel.

Day 12: Phong Nha – Tu Lan - Oxalis Experience

You'll be picked up from your hotel in Phong Nha between 7:30 and 8:00 am, before venturing into the village of Tan Hoa, located 70 km away. After a safety briefing and gear check, you'll need to sign a waiver before embarking on a full day of trekking.

The hike kicks off with a 2.5 km walk through peanut fields and towering cornstalks, leading to the Rao Nan River where you might encounter giant water buffaloes. The adventure picks up pace with a 30-meter climb up a rocky hill to a small opening in the jungle where you can catch your breath before descending about a hundred meters to reach Hung Ton Valley.

Lunch will be served near the Hung Ton Cave.

Then, the adventure continues with a more serious hike in Hung Ton Valley leading to Mango Mountain, finally descending to Tu Lan Valley (3 km).

In the mid-afternoon, Tu Lan Camp comes into view, where you can swim under the stunning waterfall. Activities include exploring and swimming in Ken Cave, located next to the camp. In the evening, return to camp for a delicious barbecue dinner.

You'll easily find sleep, lounging in the comfortable hammocks or inside one of the tents set up amidst the trees!

Day 13: Oxalis – Phong Nha

After a hearty breakfast, you'll set off for more cave explorations.

Starting with a short swim across the river to the heart of the Tu Lan cave system, you'll then take a brief pause to admire the entrance of the Blue Lagoon before heading towards the entrance of Tu Lan Cave located 180 meters downstream.

After a bit of climbing inside the cave, you can explore the dry part of the cavern, leading to a short path through the valley to the dry entrance of Kim Cave.

Then, you'll embark on a swimming (450 m) and hiking (500 m) journey through the cave to To Mo Valley.

A picnic will be served next to a magnificent waterfall at the mouth of Hung Ton Cave.

Next, you'll attempt to follow a dry path before swimming in the wet cave of Hung Ton.

Finally, explore Hung Ton Valley (800 m) and arrive at Tan Hoa to admire the landscape, cold drink in hand. Showers are available for those who wish to freshen up and change.

Return to Phong Nha is scheduled around 4:00 pm, with an arrival in Phong Nha around 5:30 pm.

Day 14: Phong Nha – Bayan Tree

In the morning, you leave Phong Nha and transfer to Hue (~4 hours drive).

Day 15: Bayan Tree – Bach Ma National Park – Lap An Lagoon

You'll be picked up by our driver and tour guide for a roughly 50-minute drive to the foot of the mountain to reach Bach Ma National Park and conquer its highest point at 1450 meters above sea level, shrouded in clouds, giving an impression of paradise.

At this altitude, all the rivers, mountains, and lagoons curl up to appear before your eyes in a single magnificent view.

In order to traverse the winding trails of the mountain jungle with ease, it's best to pack a helmet and a raincoat.

During the hike, you can enjoy the numerous stunning views of streams, waterfalls, and the 5 cool lakes (Five Lakes). A stop at lake number 3 is planned for a picnic lunch, a free swim, and a relaxing moment on the rocks.

After lunch, we continue to the Rhododendron Waterfall towering 300 meters high, from where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains.

On the way back, a short stop at the grand Buddha statue, then return to the starting point.

If time permits, we can visit Lap An Lagoon to catch a glimpse of the idyllic rural life of its inhabitants. Lap An paints a captivating picture of rivers, mountains, and fishing villages.

Return to Banyan Tree for your rest. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Day 19: Day in Saigon

Day 20: Saigon – Mekong river cruise & overnight on board

Departure at 8:00 am from the hotel. Transfer by road to Cai Be (140 km - 3 hours).

You'll board the Bassac at Cai Be around noon. After a welcome drink and a quick introduction to the boat and crew, settle into your cabin to freshen up.

As the boat navigates the Cho Lach canal, lunch will be served on board.

You can admire the canal banks up close, watch river traffic, craftsmanship, and life by the river. The bar is open on the upper deck if you wish to sunbathe.

Upon arrival at Co Chien, you'll visit a pottery village on the bank to appreciate traditional firing techniques. Then, take a walk in the surrounding orchards.

Then, you'll re-embark towards the Mang Thit River.

In the late afternoon, after refreshing, you can fully enjoy the sun on the upper deck or near the bar, waiting for the sunset on the river.

Upon arrival in Can Tho, you'll visit the floating markets and take a sampan ride through the surrounding canals.

Services end in mid-morning at Can Tho pier, then you'll drive to the airport for your flight to Con Dao.
