Day 1: Siem Riep Arrival (-/L/-)
Siem Riep - Airport: 7km, 15min drive
Upon arrival at Siem Riep airport, you will be met and transferred to hotel by our guide and driver. After making sure of your successful hotel check-in, they will be pleased to leave you free time at leisure to recover after the long flight.
When you are ready to discover our city, we will drive along the riverside to visit the local shrine of Preah Ang Chheck/Chhorm and have a lunch with one of the local family near Siem Reap town. Then we embark on a short cruise on Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s biggest natural water body. The experience is wonderful as we pass by floating village, friendly children in small boats and fishermen at work. And view the Sunset on the foot of Phnom Krom Mountain.

Morning after breakfast, w visit the most famous of all temples on the plain of Angkor, Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers glory on the Cambodian flag and a masterpiece of the 12th Century. Art historians describe him as a prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Wat's five towers symbolize Meru, the five peaks the enclosing wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding ditches the sea. Lunch is at the hotel. Visit the South Gate with its huge statues and the ancient capital of the 12th Century, Angkor Thom. We continue to see the Bayon Temple (unique for its 54 towers with over 200 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara paid), the royal residence, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King.

After breakfast at hotel, we drive through the typical Khmer countryside to the holy Kulen Mountains. Some of the construction of the temple of Angkor stones used came from here. Our vehicle takes us on a steep dirt road, where we can admire the beautiful landscapes based on the top of the mountain. There we are Lingas carved in the riverbed of the first successive kings of the Angkor-see period. Our walk will take us further into a huge natural rock with one carved into the rock big reclining Buddha. We continue to a waterfall, do not forget your bathing suit, together with the locals to take a bath. More rock carvings in the riverbed can be found above the waterfall. The Phnom Kulen is also a very popular place for the Cambodians, who come here to enjoy the weekend at a picnic.
After lunch, we will visit Banteay Srei temple (10.-century regarded as the crown jewel of classical Khmer art and continue to visit to Banteay Samre, one of the most complete facilities in Angkor, above all, because of the restoration by the method of “Anastylosis". Samre, the name refers to an ethnic group of mountain people; the region at the base of Phnom Kulen inhabited and is probably associated with the Khmer. None Inscriptions have been found for this temple, but the style of most of the architecture corresponds to the classical art of the middle period, as well as in Angkor Wat. The proportions of Banteay Samre are enormous. A unique feature is an interior moat with lateritic paving, which is filled with water to the temple an ethereal atmosphere. Return to Siem Reap.

Early morning at 05:30, we drive by Tuk Tuk to visit Ta Prohm temple before other tourists. As one of the most beautiful temples in the region was, the Ta Prohm left relatively untouched since its discovery, and has retained many of its secrets. Its charm lies in the fact that, unlike the other monuments of Angkor, which was given up to free him from the jungle. How about the first European explorers, most of the temples of Angkor must have found, when she accidentally stumbled upon them, back to hotel for breakfast at 09:00.
After lunch, we proceed to Preah Khan. Built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah Khan is like Ta Prohm, a place of countless corridors and rooms. After breakfast, we continue to explore the many temples at this incredible site, including the beautiful Prasat Krahom, covered by jungle. After lunch, we head east through Kulen district to the provincial capital of Preah Vihear, Tbeng Meanchey. We visit a local silk project for the disabled and disadvantaged called Joom Noon and spend the night in a local hotel.

Siem Riep - Kampong Thom: 198km, ~3h25min drive
After having breakfast, we will depart Siem Reap for Kampong Thom. On the way visit traditional villages and stop at the ancient Naga Bridge (Spean Pratpo) is located 40 km from Siem Reap. Arrive in Kampong Thom and transfer to your hotel. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon you drive from Kampong Thom for Sambor Prei Kuk, located 35 km northeast of Kampong Thom. Visit the ancient capital of Chenla with its 100 temples from the pre-Angkor period. Return to Kampong Thom.

Siem Riep - Kampong Thom: 201km, ~3h45min drive
Have breakfast at the hotel and we will departure to Kompong Cham (260 km, 3h drive). On the way we are stop in Phum Prasat, with its single ancient temple. Then go continuing to Kampong Cham. Continuing on our way to visit Wat Kohear Nokor, from the 11th Century, and then you will visit Wat Nokhor with its ancient temple and the pagoda from the 12th Century. Lunch is at a local restaurant. Have a short tour in Kampong Cham to view examples of colonial architecture. Drive to Chhup, a rubber plantation, the first in the region and by the French tire manufacturer Michelin founded. Late afternoon arrive in Phnom Penh.

After breakfast at hotel, we start our city tour by visits to the Victory Monument, and the National Museum, also known as the Museum of Fine Arts. A French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in 1917 in the Khmer style. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art, especially sculpture from all eras. Visit the Royal Palace of King Norodom built in 1866 on the grounds of the old city, and the Silver Pagoda. It is located in the royal palace, called the Silver Pagoda, because there is a floor of 5000 silver tiles. Other treasures, which you will see are a Buddha made of solid gold and weighing 90 kilograms and a small emerald Buddha from the 17th Century, and baccarat crystal Buddha. Lunch on your own cost. Then visit the infamous Tuol Sleng museum. In 1975, the Tuol Svay Prey High School was taken over by Pol Pot's security forces and used as a prison known as Security Prison 21 (S-21) become. It soon became apparent as the largest such centre of detention and torture in the country. More than 17,000 people were being housed in the S-21 to later in the extermination camps in Choeung Ek brought. Prisoners died during the torture and were buried in mass graves in the prison floor. The museum displays include room after room photos of these men, women and children. On the walls from floor to ceiling are virtually represented all the people who were later killed.
