In spite of being considered the hottest month of the year all over the country, June is still an acceptable month to visit Vietnam. The North is in full summer mode with high temperature and much rain while the South is in the middle of wet season with frequent daily downpours coming in the afternoon. Central Vietnam has now reached peak temperatures with plenty of dry and bright days. It’s not recommended to trek through mountains due to more heavy rain. Since there’s a significant increase in domestic travel demand, it is wise to reserve services early in advance for good availability.
Northern Vietnam
The North is fully in the middle of summer with plenty of sunshine, rain and even storms now and then. The average temperature is 30 °C. Sapa where average temperature is 24°C is a must visit for those who love natural beauty. It’s unadvisable to trek deeply into northern mountains due to very wet weather.
Central Vietnam
You can expect plenty of sunshine and blue skies throughout the Centre of Vietnam. This weather is perfect for those who love spending their time at the beaches of Hoian, Danang and Nha Trang. The temperature remains the same as in May at 30 °C on average. Hue is a nice destination while there’s an increase in rainfall in the Central Highlands and Dalat.
Southern Vietnam
The South gets more rain everyday due to wet season. The downpours are slightly heavier than in the earlier part of the year. However, there are plenty of dry and bright daily hours with the average temperature of around 26-33°C. Remember to bring an umbrella or raincoat with you to avoid getting wet.
