Sorry for the delay ion coming back to you on this e-mail. I am still trying to catch up with the holiday backlog.

I would like to thank you once again for the excellent service you have provided us before the trip, and also during and lovely follow-up thereafter.

It was nice meeting you in your office, and thanks once again for all the gifts. During our travels, we were also given a personalised bamboo straw and chop sticks, which makes a nice touch in remembering the holiday, on top of many photos we have taken. Thanks for being on standby throughout our trip, including assisting us for adding in Kbal Spean. Thanks also for trying your utmost to assist us when we were faced with a plane cancellation in Siem Reap and had the prospect of missing our London bound flight. Fortunately all worked out well.

Just as some constructive feedback on the guides we had for your information.

We found Bean in Cambodia probably the best, since he was striving to constantly improve on his knowledge and glean off any knowledge from other and happy to share whatever he knew.

David, In Hanoi was a very close second and very easy to converse with. Nigh in Hoi An was fine and seemed to be just doing his job and Suly in Sapa was nice and chatty.  Sign ( pronounced Sang) in Ho Chi Minh City was struggling to communicate effectively in English, but I am sure over time he too will become better at it.

Finally, we will not hesitate to put your name forward should anyone wish to travel to Vietnam/ Cambodia.

Thanks to Ms.Vy and Tonkin Voyage Travel, we really had an amasing experience.

Ms.Vy planned for a us a tremendous trip over Vietnam and Cambodia.

It was a bit tiring as we went from Hanoi to Sa Pa, Halong Bay, Saygon, Mekong Delta, Siem Reap but was full of great uman experience and came back home full of beautifull memories.

We love Vietnamese and Cambodian people always very friendly and smiling!

Hotels were very nice, clean and very central except for the Saem Siem Reap which was a bit far away from the centre.

Giudes and drivers were excellent, we loved all of them!

CASPANI x2Pax – Taste of Vietnam & Cambodia 14 days

Dear Ms. Vy

As already anticipated, we have really enjoyed our tour in the North of Vietnam. You have understood our wishes and made a perfect plan for us.

First of all, I would like to mention our travel companions, Mr. Ha the driver and Mr. Khue the guide. They have been invaluable to the success of the tour. Through them we met families, visited private homes learnt traditions and historic backgrounds.

The tour has shown us different aspect of Vietnam social and economic development. The different landscapes were astonishing.

Both hotels in Hanoi offers great service and quality. The same applies to the others resorts and lodges with exclusive locations.

We have appreciated dining at restaurants but also loved street food along the road.

The mini cruise in Halong Bay was also up to the expectations. The boat was not too big and the service on board was excellent with good choice of activities.

All in all and unforgettable experience for which we thank you.

Yes the trip was awesome. Per your request, here is some feedback,

Logistics – A+. From the minute we left the Hanoi airport the first time to when we left, your drivers, guides and accommodations were super smooth.  As a couple in southeast Asia for the first time, This was a relief as it took an unknown off the table.  Everything was fine.

Accommodations – A – B.  

La Siesta was fine.  The last night, they upgraded us to a top floor, which meant we had to call to get help with our bags.  All in all, A.

LaLita in NinhBinh – B.  Would have been an A, but the bedside tables in the room were 1m away from the bed, rendering them useless.  Looks like the room initially had 2 doubles and they never reworked the tables when switching the room to a King.  Beautiful property.

IndoChina Junk/Dragon Legend – A. Wonderful cruise to BaiTulong Bay.  So happy we opted for the 2 night option.  Highly recommended.

Silk Path Grand Hue – A.  Very nice hotel.  Near everything.  Angela did a massage and I used the gym. Everything top notch.

Bel Marina Hoi An – B. Would have been an A, but too heavy on Christmas music in common areas.  After two days it was enough.  This is a pet peeve of mine, and I get aggravated here with it too.

Guides / Drivers – A- B

Drivers were awesome.  Even if the language barrier was in place, they were responsive to our needs and at no time did we feel unsafe.  Driving in Vietnam is considerably different than what we are used to, and the guys were real pros.  No road rage or close calls.

Mr Tu in Hanoi/HaiLong and Mr Long in Hue were professional, friendly, passionate about their areas of expertise and full of knowledge.  We understand that English is hard to learn, especially if picking it up as an adult.  In both cases, if their comprehension and speaking skills were a bit better, it would have meant that we had more meaningful exchanges and gotten a deeper understanding of your country and culture.

All in all, the vacation was excellent and we will be recommending a Vietnam visit and Tonkin Travel to friends and family.
