As dusk casts a golden glow over the Mekong Delta, take the opportunity to meet your fellow travelers during an official welcome reception, featuring canapés and prosecco.

Afterward, we proceed to Tan Phong Island, where a local family will welcome us into their tropical fruit garden to sample a variety of fruits. A buggy ride across the island offers a glimpse of daily life in the Mekong Delta.

Later in the day, we visit another family that specializes in weaving water hyacinths into artistic crafts.

You’ll then transfer to Prei Monti village, where you’ll meet “Madame Ri” at the vibrant Rolous local market. Here, you’ll explore the colorful market, purchasing fresh vegetables, freshwater fish, meat, and spices. Under Madame Ri’s guidance, you’ll prepare a traditional Cambodian dish. Afterward, you’ll continue to Kampong Pluk, a unique fishing village built on stilts near Tonlé Sap Lake.

Kampong Pluk is home to approximately 2,500 people, almost all Khmer fishermen. Their fascinating way of life revolves around the water, with the village transforming completely depending on the season. During the rainy season, homes on stilts sit above waters as deep as six meters.
